IVY LEO A compilation of the bedroom scenes in our showroom in Maitama, Abuja. This compilation includes depictions of luxury hotel rooms fully fitted with an elaborate free-standing double bed accompanied by a single night case and side table, positioned on each side of the bed. The hotel room has a hybrid TV/dressing unit, a combination of a floating table with a small portion of the edge resting on the sideboard close to it, all collectively resting/mounted against the grooved wall panelling on the wall behind. As per hotel standard, the room also has a styling luggage rack. Alternatively, there is another room - the master bedroom with a built-in wardrobe unit and a double bed that rests against an upholstered wall panel which also functions as the headboard, continued with a bedroom bench identified as Pouf. The master bedroom has a free-standing unit with grove detailed doors and drawers that functions as a dresser/TV unit. The room is completed with a small reading area that includes a wingback chair, footrest and side table, and a sizable bathroom with a suspended vanity unit and an inset washbasin. All projects

The desk is equipped with a cuboid drawer box for concealed files and stationary storage and outfitted with a shelf for open/ visible storage. The table surface area is generous and can accommodate large desktop monitors, keyboards and the rest. The desk is accentuated with waterfall table design on one side and the other side is suspended on the drawer box. The table is available in laminate and veneer. It is made with a simple rectangular tabletop, detailed with chamfered edges. Underneath the canopy of the tabletop are the thick legs of solid timber inclined and rotated in different directions to create the appearance of intersecting line. This contemporary minimalist sofa comes in a variety of sizes and arrangements namely; single, double and triple. The collection includes an ottoman that is attached to the seater to form an L-shaped sofa. The sofa is lightly ornamented with the subtle tufts mapped on the loose cushion. The tufting detail repeats itself on the ottoman with more emphasis in its depression giving its simple cuboid form more character. KEYPORT ENTERPRISES A brokerage firm situated in a leased office space in a commercial high-rise building located in the central business district of Abuja. The company requested the design of two office categories: Executive and Standard. The Executive being designated for the Founder/MD and Standard Office for his subordinates, which were a total of four. Indicating interest in new age, fluid office design that makes for a lenient but productive working environment. AFP approached this request with the use of smart glass partitions to prevent the usual clustered feeling associated with confined spaces with opaque walls. The Executive Office was designed with a spacious work desk (the Wing Desk), comfortably accommodating the MD and two visitors. Additionally, a lavish lounge area was incorporated to allow him unwind when necessary. Due to spatial constraints, the office also serves as the venue for large company meetings and is equipped with an organised storage system. The Standard Offices were all designed with the Angle Desk unit and the drawer box attachment for storage. The desk accommodates the official and a single visitor. The Standard Office also boasts ample storage space and a small lounge area that make for a versatile work environment. All projects

The Alpha was designed to encourage the appreciation of form and execution. This armchair presents itself with two distinctive forms: cuboids and quadrants. The cuboids comprise the seating area (the backrest and seat) while the quadrants function as the armrest and leg that suspend the seat and backrest slightly off the floor. The cuboids are made of a wooden substructure upholstered in foam and fabric/ leather, embellished with a piping, while the armrest is skilfully curved with a vacuum-assisted veneer lamination process. Its beauty is heavily dependent on the intricate distribution of the grains of the wood used to construct it. Four legs, connected at the bottom of the seat plate, are further stabilised along the length of the legs with a metal hoop, achieving an appealing contrast in materials and giving the stool its identity. The flat circular seat is finished with a hole in the middle and chamfered along the edge of its circumference. The leg frame of the Kole table is composed of a box with right trapezoids (or trapeziums) attached to its corners with their joint at the straight parts, allowing the diagonal parts of the trapezoid to project outwards. Nairobi could easily be described as a rebirth. It is a reiteration or redesign of an older Column Legs dining table, which is no longer in the AFP table collection. The table could be identified with the two large columns beneath the table top. Nairobi’s distinguishable factor is its depiction of the beauty in contrast, the textural contrast between the smooth surface of the table top and the grooved surface of the two columns that stand as legs. IN-WALL SLIDING Commonly referred to as a pocket door because of the semblance of the door leaf sliding into its sleeve, the in-wall sliding door is most applicable in situations where the space does not allow for the pivoting motion of a hinged door. The door leaf maintains its motion on one axis and partially disappears from sight into the sleeve, which is embedded in the wall, as the door is opened. The in-wall sliding door leaf can be ornamented with only wooden profiles and is available in all finishes.
